Lars Herlin

Lars Herlin is an AIM Group senior analyst for Europe, and our expert on Schibsted. He had a long career in journalism at Expressen, Svenska Dagbladet and VeckansAffärer, and served as managing editor and later managing director of Gotlands Allehanda. He was also managing director of a commercial radio station during the same period.

While he was studying at Stockholm School of Economics, graduating with a BA in 1975 (major in Economics), he went into journalism. Early in his career he worked for the biggest newspaper in Scandinavia, Expressen, later as an economic reporter for Svenska Dagbladet and the business magazine Veckans Affärer. After serving as managing editor for Gotlands Allehanda on the island Gotland in the Baltic Sea, he became its CEO. After a merger, he ran two competing newspapers bought by the Swedish media group, NTM, in partnership with local owners on the island for 10 years. Herlin has more than 25 years of experience as CEO for several companies. He lives on the west coast of Gotland, 40 kilometers south of the medieval town of Visby.
