Consumer confidence on economy, jobs, flat in March

The Conference Board's index on consumer confidence, which fell to an all-time low in February, remained flat in March, suggesting that the prevailing sentiment is that the U.S. economy remains weak and more job losses are on the horizon.

The index, for those who track, stood at 26.0, up from 25.3 in February. The monthly survey is based on a representative sample of 5,000 U.S. household
