HAFA to reduce short sale time, boost U.S. home sales

As of April 5, 2010, homeowners in the United States who are struggling to save their homes from foreclosure will have a little more help. That's when the Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternatives (HAFA) program takes effect. The federal program will expire Dec. 31, 2012.
