Craigslist poster, $500k ID thief jailed

As a result of one of the bigger-ticket and more flagrant attempts to bilk Craigslist users,  Nassau County, NY resident Susan Pemberton, a/k/a Susan Williams, was sentenced to three years in prison. Pemberton attempted to obtain $500,000 by assuming others' identities,  and then filed hundreds of false tax returns, opening up bank accounts and applying for credit cards. The way the scam worked
