Classifieds may bring Free Basics to India via intranet

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has 'banned' Facebook's 'Free Basic' data service, which provided limited Internet service to Indians on their smartphones. However, classifieds and Internet service providers (ISPs) such as Airtel, Vodafone, Reliance etc., might offer the service on their private intranets, which are scaled down versions of the Internet.
