Half of Mexican used cars are sold at SegundaMano

SegundaMano, a generalist classifieds website owned by Schibsted, which merged with Naspers’ OLX, said nearly half of Mexico’s used cars are sold within its platform.

According to the Mexican horizontal player, 45 percent of Mexican used cars are sold within the platform. SegundaMano didn’t immediately comment AIM Group’s questions about the methodology of the research, which was made in partnership with Google, but a company’s press-release said a car is sold every 14 days in the website. segundamano

The most sold auto brands in the state of Jalisco are Volkswagen, Chevrolet, Nissan, Ford, Chrysler and Toyota.

SegundaMano has some 296,013 autos listings in Mexico, while EBay-owned competitor Vivanuncios has some other 108,416 ads. LatAm Auto’s cars vertical Seminuevos has about 61,358 listings in Mexico.
