Scotland’s S1homes strengthens position with app

18 Apr 2016

S1homes.com, Scotland’s largest real estate platform, bolstered its already strong position in the local rental market with the launch of a new mobile app.

S1homes.com is owned by Newsquest, a Gannett company, and is one of the U.K.’s largest publishers of local media in print and online. The group owns 144 websites across England, Scotland and Wales.

The S1homes app enables users to find rented homes anywhere in Scotland, and gives users the ability to save their searches and create property alerts. Users can also contact agents quickly with a direct email, or call option.

The app was built in-house by the S1homes technical team, and its launch coincided with the return of its ‘Local knowledge’ marketing campaign, set to run across radio, digital and social media.

Wendy Pauley, marketing director of S1homes, said: “The development of the new app, reflects S1homes.com’s strategy of moving forward to strengthen its position in the Scottish property market.

“Users searching for rental properties have different needs and we’ve developed an app that focuses on speed and convenience to satisfy those needs.”

Launched in 2001, S1homes has grown to become the biggest real estate site in Scotland with over 30,000 properties for sale and rent. It attracts over 500,000 home-seekers every month.
