Innovation brings Emlakjet audience growth

04 Oct 2016

Emlakjet.com, one of the leading real estate sites of Turkey, revamped its logo, site and slogan last year, and has enjoyed growing traffic since. According to the corporate communications department of ILab Ventures, which also invested in job site Kariyer.net and auto site Arabam.com, Emlakjet.com reached the 5-million visitors mark and 40-million page-views mark in August.

We compared SimilarWeb’s stats for visits to Emlakjet (desktop site and mobile site). The stats site measured 4.6 million visits in August, which was 31 percent more than the 3.5 million counted in September last year.

Emlakjet.com joined the ILab Ventures portfolio in 2014, rolled out 3 new features, which are helpful to users, and refreshed its site, logo, and slogan. An “ad-comparison” feature enables the user to compare up to four listings on a single screen.

An “search-together” feature enables the creating of a favorites list, and share this with other Emlakjet users.

The last feature was “transport information” – it gives Google’s street view of listings, and calculates distances of listings to the nearest transportation points.

Gizem Moral (photo), general manager of Emlakjet.com, said, “Our aim is to be the first website that comes to mind in Turkey’s real estate market. Sites are confronted with problems such as listings of the same properties by different people, marketing it with different asking prices, and showing the same property in different ads, as if they were in different locations.

“At this stage, our main aim is to provide reliable information in the fastest way to the users who search. We will keep on creating value with our new products,” she said.
