REA Group int’l COO to depart

28 Dec 2016

Arthur Charlaftis, international COO of REA Group, will leave the company after it closes on the sale of its European operations, CEO Tracey Fellows announced.

Once the sale is complete, most of REA Group’s international businesses will be based in Asia, including IProperty Group and MyFun.com in China. “For personal reasons, Mr. Charlaftis has decided not to relocate,” the company said. It said it was selecting a person to lead its Asian operations and would make an announcement “in the coming months.”

“In his five years with REA Group, Arthur transformed our sales organization … developed great relationships with customers, built a legacy of talent and has been highly influential in the industry,” Fellows said.

The Melbourne, Australia, company last week announced that it would sell the European operations, including Casa.it in Italy and AtHome.lu in Luxembourg, to Oakley Capital Private Equity of London.
