Auto Trader’s Nathan Coe promoted to COO

In the U.K., digital auto marketplace Auto Trader announced that Nathan Coe has been promoted to chief operating officer (COO) and executive director of the company.

Coe joined Auto Trader in 2007, and led the launch of a number of new business areas, including the company’s transition to and growth in mobile and online. Auto Trader launched in 1977, and the physical magazine closed four years ago, migrating to the web and increasingly the mobile app. The company claims to receive 48 million cross-platform visits each month, with around 70 percent of these being via mobile devices.

For the past two years, Coe served as operations director, jointly overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business.

Prior to joining Auto Trader, Coe worked at Australian telco Telstra, where he led mergers and acquisitions and corporate development for its media and internet businesses. Before that he was a consultant at PwC.
