Classifieds give Belgium’s De Persgroep a record year

The financial year 2016 was one of the best the Belgian media group De Persgroep has ever had, with net profit up 7 percent to a record €117 million ($127 million U.S.). The solid performance was ascribed to successful acquisitions, and a well-performing portfolio of classifieds, particularly in the Netherlands.

Anastasia Gnezditskaia

Anastasia Gnezditskaia has joined AIM Group in 2014 as a writer/analyst covering France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Eastern Europe. A Russian living in Antwerp, Belgium, she has a background working for trade publications covering markets and their regulation.
