VivaReal adds real-time chat to mobile app

22 May 2017

VivaReal, a leading real estate classified vertical in Brazil, released a chat feature for users of its mobile app. VivaReal’s move came as competitor Zap announced a Facebook chatbot to help its consumers find properties.

VivaReal said brokers and agencies can manage chat conversations through the company’s VivaPro product, a platform for clients to manage their listings on the site. The chat is available to VivaPro users on both desktop and mobile.

The Brazilian real estate classified vertical said the new chat feature allows brokers and agencies to manage customer service under a single place, and offers sellers mobility, as they can easily access and respond to messages on the go.

Despite not being a new feature in classifieds, the use of real-time chat is a relatively new trend in both Brazilian and Latin American classifieds. Vertical and horizontal sites using real-time chat include general classifieds site OLX Brazil, and cars specialist LatAm Autos.
