2015 Craigslist Annual

AIM Group 2015 Craigslist Report.

Craigslist will generate about $381 million in revenue and more than $300 million in profits during 2015, according to a new report. But as the site marks its 20th anniversary, it faces serious new competition and a major security problem.

While Craigslist’s revenue is growing, the site faces challenges outlined in the 36-page special edition of Classified Intelligence Report:

— Facebook has launched a “buy / sell” button for groups that could have a major impact on Craigslist, especially because of the safety issues posed by trading on Craigslist.

— At least 84 killings have been linked to Craigslist transactions, along with thousands of rapes, robberies and rip-offs, and many potential users have chosen to use other classified sites or avoid Craigslist entirely.

— Craigslist is still involved in a major court fight with EBay, its only outside shareholder. The case is expected to come to trial sometime this year.

This special report was included in the Classified Intelligence Report continuous advisory service for AIM Group clients, but is available for single purchase.
